Songbearer
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
Description
About
Songbearer is a game where you explore a spaceship wreckage. It is intended to be playable using sounds only.
You can use a game controller or keyboard. All key mappings can be changed.
Default keyboard mapping:
- 1 to toggle text-to-speech
- Arrows, WASD to move
- Arrows and tab to navigate menus
- Space or enter to interact
- R to repeat last sentence
- Shift to stop speech
- Escape to open the menu
While we had aspirations of making it screen-reader accessible, Godot is currently not yet ready for that integration. So we provided a text-to-speech version that should read out all text on screen.
We hope you enjoy this explorative musical game!

A great game, and the one with the most heart in this jam IMO. Thank you for taking the time to make some post jam fixes, it's very much appreciated! Will definitely be using this game as an example of a good blind accessible jam submission in the future.
THis was a nice submission. I enjoyed the story and the audio was relaly nice. I had a issue where the game took a bit to load after i pressed the exe file. I also got confused at the end since i thought i had missed something. It would be nice to get a actual credits screen to let you know the game has ended. I also spammed the action key to find items and doors. I had no issue walking around.
